The new school year is going to be here before you know it!

The question is: Will it begin by default - or by design?

Stop the cycle of reactive leadership from day one!

Build a collaborative, culture-centered roadmap for your upcoming school year by attending the

Start Your Year Strong

Strategic School Leadership Summit

Does your summer feel more like "patching holes" than "planning progress"?

Many school leaders end the year exhausted. You promise yourself that next year will be different - clearer, calmer, and more focused.

Between hiring, facility updates, and district mandates, the "strategic planning" gets pushed to the last week before teachers arrive on your campus.

The result? You walk into August with:

  • A "Binder" Plan: Too many goals that staff will never actually own.

  • Siloed Systems: PLCs that feel like "just another meeting" instead of a support engine.

  • Reactive Culture: Hoping for a good "vibe" instead of designing a heartbeat.

  • Leadership Fatigue: Pushing through on adrenaline rather than a system of hope.

Excellence without exhaustion is possible. But it requires alignment before the first bell rings.

Join us June 25 for the Start Your Year Strong Summit!

One Day of Strategy. A Year of Impact.

Join a group of highly respected and experienced voices in school leadership for a high-impact, virtual "think tank." We aren't here to give you more ideas to put on your plate; we are here to help you narrow the plate.

  • Clarity Precedes Capacity: Narrow your focus so teachers take true ownership.

  • Layers of Collaboration: Connect your PLC and MTSS into one powerhouse team.

  • The First 30 Days: Use early data to prevent October fires before they start.

  • Culture of Purpose: Design the "parking lot to parking lot" experience.

  • The System of H.O.P.E.: Build the personal resilience to thrive all year long.

Session 1

Clarity Precedes Capacity:

Narrowing Your Focus to Drive Teacher Ownership

Why do well-intentioned campus improvement plans often stall at the classroom door? Because without a narrow, data-driven focus, staff capacity is stretched too thin to be effective.

In this session, leaders will learn to move beyond the overwhelming improvement plan in a binder to select a meaningful area of focus and analyze the focus to create goals that people care about. By the end of this session, you will have a laser-focused goal and the data-backed rationale needed to lead your teachers from simple compliance to true ownership of the work.

Session 2

Every Child Deserves a Team:

Why Every School Needs Four Layers of Collaboration!

Do your team meetings lack the clarity and purpose you're looking for as a leader? With an eye on the new school year, Kurtis and Lorna will articulate, with multiple school samples and resources, the value of layering collaborative structures and processes within a school and how the introduction of a very intentional collaborative team meeting can work to respond to the needs of students collectively, while increasing the instructional capacity of everyone involved.

In essence, schools reduce the number of meetings about students...by adding one more! By intentionally layering and connecting our PLC and MTSS structures, we leverage and maximize the most powerful resource in any school for supporting the whole child - the educators working within our building! Come learn what thousands of schools have learned about purposeful collaborative structures and processes to ensure every student is supported by a team.

Session 3

The First 30 Days:

Data Moves That Prevent Problems Later

Many of the challenges schools face in the middle of the year can be traced back to the first few weeks of school. When leaders establish clear systems for monitoring student needs early, teams can intervene sooner and prevent small concerns from becoming larger issues.

This session focuses on the key data practices school leaders should prioritize during the first 30 days of the school year. Participants will learn how to track early behavior patterns, identify students who may need additional support, and guide teams through meaningful data conversations that lead to action.

Leaders will leave with a practical roadmap for using early-year data to strengthen MTSS systems, support teachers, and ensure students get the help they need before problems escalate.

Session 4

Culture First:

It Starts in the Parking Lot

This session challenges school leaders to rethink how culture is built. Not through programs or events but through intentional, everyday moments from the first car in the parking lot to the last one leaving at night.

When every person in the building is on the same page, culture becomes something everyone owns, and every student, staff member, parent, and community member feels seen, heard, valued, and missed when they aren't there. Leaders will walk away with concrete strategies for transforming everyday interactions with students, parents, and families into powerful culture-building moments and specific ways to make their school the heartbeat of the neighborhood. They will leave with a clear action plan to take back to their team and begin brainstorming together.

Session 5

Well Being & Work Life Harmony:

Building a System of H.O.P.E.

As school leaders, we carry the emotional weight of staff, students, families, and communities. And somewhere along the way, many of us were taught that strength meant endurance. Sustainable excellence requires more than pushing through.

In this session, Dr. Kelly shares the System of H.O.P.E. (Habits, Optimistic Outlook, Purpose, and Excellence) grounded in Psychologist C. R. Snyder's Science of Hope. Together, we’ll explore how strengthening agency and pathways thinking protects mental health, restores clarity, and helps you lead without losing yourself. You’ll leave with practical strategies to regulate stress, align your time with what matters most, and build a leadership rhythm that allows you, and your school community, to thrive for the long haul. Because your work matters. And you matter too. 💛
